Privacy & cookie policy

1. What we collect
Embargo Timer is a browser side tool. Timezone conversions happen entirely in your browser. We do not send your embargo times, dates, or copied text to any server. We do not require an account and we do not collect names, email addresses, or personal identifiers through the tool itself.
2. Cookies & local storage
We use a small number of items in your browser's local storage:
- Essential: your saved cookie choice (
et_consent_v1) and dismissal state for the mobile ad banner (et_anchor_dismissed_v1). These are required for the site to work correctly and are not shared. - Advertising (with consent): cookies set by Google AdSense to serve and measure ads. See Google's advertising policies for full details.
3. Advertising
We show ads served by Google AdSense to keep the tool free. With your consent, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Declining consent above disables ad personalisation on this site.
4. Analytics
We record anonymous, aggregate ad performance events (impression, click, load failure) to understand which pages are useful. No personal identifiers are collected. Analytics events are only forwarded when you have granted consent.
5. Regional rights
If you are in the EU, UK, EEA, or Switzerland you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time using the controls above. Because we do not collect account-level personal data, most requests are satisfied by clearing your browser storage for this site.
6. Contact
Privacy questions or data requests: use the contact page.
